On the occasion of the 18th Milano Photofestival, Gilda Contemporary Art presents Barbara Dall’Angelo’s photographic exhibition entitled “Tell me the truth about Nature.” Her first solo exhibition in Milan features two groups of works dedicated to the beauty and resilience of Nature.

In the two rooms of the gallery there are presented two groups of works, one taken in Finnish Lapland at 66 degrees North (with temperatures around -30 degrees) and the other in Indonesia at 7 degrees South (with temperatures well over 30 degrees).

Barbara Dall’Angelo, who has dedicated herself to landscape photography for years, combining technical expertise with rare sensitivity, is always in search of uncontaminated and evocative places, as if the wilderness could somehow be a key to understanding and giving an answer to one’s deepest questions about the meaning of existence and survival. Her shots leave the public with the sensation of a subtle melancholy typical of the last farewell, but at the same time they have the flavor of rediscovered certainties. And this truth, which the artist is continually searching for, seems to resolve itself in the hypothesis that harmony is precisely in a balance between fragility and strength, between immutability and mutation, a form of attraction and passion between opposing dimensions and states, similar to Love, which becomes the engine of the universe.

In occasione del 18° Milano Photofestival, Gilda Contemporary Art presenta la mostra fotografica di Barbara Dall’Angelo dal titolo “Tell me the truth about Nature.” La sua prima personale milanese accoglie due gruppi di opere dedicati alla bellezza ed alla resilienza della Natura.

In mostra nelle due sale della galleria, due gruppi di lavori, scattati gli uni nella Lapponia Finlandese a 66 gradi Nord (con temperature attorno ai -30 gradi) e gli altri in Indonesia a 7 gradi Sud (con temperature ben oltre i 30 gradi).

Barbara Dall’Angelo, che da anni si dedica alla fotografia di paesaggio unendo competenza tecnica a rara sensibilità, è sempre alla ricerca di luoghi incontaminati e suggestivi, come se la wilderness potesse essere in qualche modo chiave di lettura e dare risposta ai propri più profondi interrogativi sul senso dell’esistenza e della sopravvivenza. I suoi scatti lasciano nel pubblico la sensazione di una sottile melanconia tipica dell’ultimo saluto, ma al tempo stesso hanno il sapore di certezze ritrovate. E questa verità, di cui l’artista è continuamente in cerca, pare risolversi nell’ipotesi che l’armonia sia proprio in un equilibrio tra fragilità e forza, tra immutabilità e mutazione, una forma di attrazione e passione tra opposte dimensioni e stati, simile all’Amore, che diventa motore dell’universo.
